Free QR Code Generator

Make a QR code for a website link, Wi-Fi network, text, email or phone number. The codes are static, so they never expire and never stop working. Download a PNG up to 2048 pixels or an SVG for print, laser engraving and vinyl. No sign-up, and nothing you type is uploaded.

Static vs dynamic QR codes: why ours never expire

A static QR code stores your link or text inside the pattern itself. Any phone camera can read it forever, with no account and no company in the middle. Many “free” generators make dynamic codes instead: the pattern points to their short link, which forwards to yours. That lets them count scans, but if the free trial ends or you stop paying, the code stops working, often after it is already printed on flyers, menus or vans.

Every code from this tool is static. The trade-off: you can’t change where a printed code points, so check the link before you print.

Wi-Fi QR codes for guests

Choose Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password, and pick the security type (usually WPA/WPA2). Guests point their camera at the code and join without typing the password. Print it for a rental, office, salon or waiting room. Your password stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Engrave or cut a QR code

Download the SVG for a laser, CNC or Cricut. It is a clean vector made of squares, so it scales to any size without blurring. Tips that keep it scannable:

  • Keep strong contrast: dark code on a light background. Engraving light marks into dark wood may need the code inverted, and many phones read inverted codes poorly, so test first.
  • Leave the white border (the quiet zone) around the code.
  • Make it at least about 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, and bigger for long links or codes read from a distance.
  • Scan a test piece with two different phones before running the full job.

Questions

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes with your content built in, so they work for as long as the link or details inside them are valid.

Can I use them commercially?

Yes. Put them on menus, business cards, packaging, signs or products. There is no watermark and no attribution needed.

Can I track how many people scan it?

Not with a static code. To count visits, add tracking tags to your link (for example ?utm_source=flyer) and check your website’s analytics.

Is what I type uploaded?

No. The code is made in your browser. Links, text and Wi-Fi passwords never leave your device.
